Wahiba built her digital skills as the founder of Carrotlines, Canada’s top mobile food marketing platform that connects consumers and brands. She built an engaged social media and mobile community of over 100,000 monthly active members, while working with targeted partners and sponsors to catapult the mobile app to a Top 10 listing on the iTunes Store (Health & Fitness Category) in two consecutive years. Carrotlines’ complementary product, the Foodwiki.ca, is the largest online and mobile food database in Canada, built using proprietary data gathering techniques.
Wahiba holds a Bachelor Of Science in software engineering from San Francisco State University (2005) and an MBA from Simon Fraser University (2008). She has been the recipient of several awards and featured on CNN, CBC, The National Post, The Metro, and Business In Vancouver to name a few.
She is also a regular contributor to a number of influential media outlets on digital strategy including on Yahoo! Small Business, Social Media Today, LinkedIn, The Klout Blog, Business 2 Community and Wavefront On Wireless.
